Kids In Motion:
Date: May 7th, 2008
Where/Who: 1,120 kids in the Rice Lake public school system and St. Joseph’s parochial school.
What: The goal is to have someone in each school moving at all times during the school day and to teach kids that “Fitness is Fun”. Each class will take turns walking with teachers, parents and other volunteers.
Cost: Free
Other: Every participant will be given a water bottle and take-home packet. The take-home packet will include nutritional information, a coloring contest entry form and an exercise log.
Coloring Contest: All entries must be dropped off to one of the Rice Lake Johnson Bank branches on or before May 16th. Johnson Bank branches are located in Marketplace Foods and on Cenex Drive near Perkins. A winner will be selected from each grade level.
Exercise Log: Kids are encouraged to log their exercise. Activities with parents are encouraged.

PLAY Youth Run
Date: June 10th, 2008, 6pm
Where: Tuscobia Trail Head on CTH SS between Rice Lake and Haugen
Who: A completed exercise log from the Kids in Motion event serves as the ticket.
Cost: Free for those with a ticket.
Other: Event will feature an award ceremony.
